EMERGENCY SERVICES & MEDICAL CARE
EMERGENCY CARE
Hopefully, a trip to Big Sky doesn’t include injury, but if the worst-case scenario does happen, Big Sky is equipped to get you back on your feet. Big Sky Medical Center has been serving the Big Sky community since 2015 and has emergency outpatient and inpatient care with eight beds and a retail pharmacy.
B2 Urgent Care Big Sky is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily during winter. If you have an emergency on the mountaina at Big Sky Resort, call (406) 995-5880 or visit any lift terminal to call Big Sky Patrol.
ALTITUDE SICKNESS
Altitude sickness is a common concern for first-time visitors to Big Sky due to the higher elevation. Symptoms can include headaches, nausea, fatigue, shortness of breath, dizziness, and difficulty sleeping. To minimize the risk, it's essential to acclimate gradually by avoiding strenuous activity initially. Staying hydrated and limiting alcohol consumption can also help prevent altitude sickness.
